Gelderlandplein opened its doors more than 50 years ago. In 2016, what originally started as a neighbourhood shopping centre was transformed into a shopping centre with international allure. With more than 90 shops, restaurants, and a hotel, Gelderlandplein now offers a wonderful mix of local, national, and international specialty shops as well as major chains. In other words, it’s a place where you can find everything you are looking for, ranging from your daily groceries to luxury upmarket items. The addition of high-quality artworks, children’s play areas, and the annual skating rink has made Gelderlandplein a unique experience for young and old alike.
Since its official reopening by Mayor Van der Laan in 2016, Gelderlandplein has won the NRW award and an ICSC commendation.
