More light, air and space: that is the result of the recent renovation of the Hilvertshof shopping centre in the heart of Hilversum. Design: Rijnboutt Architects. Hard rectangular shapes have made way for rounded lines and a great deal of glass. Floors have been broken open, creating more space and light. The transformation has attracted major international retailers, including H&M, Zara, and Primark. In addition to these crowd-pullers, Hilvertshof also offers an attractive mix of national chains and local entrepreneurs.
