Markthof shopping centre Hoofddorp celebrates its opening on June 10
After about two years of preparation and two years of building work, the new Markthof shopping centre in Hoofddorp is ready for the future and was officially opened on 10 June last by alderman A.Th.A. van Dijk of the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer.
Markthof is a joint investment by ProWinko Nederland and the Kroonenberg Groep. The project has been designed by the internationally renowned architect, Pi de Bruijn, of Architekten Cie. from Amsterdam.
A number of crowd pullers have taken up residence in the new complex, including Primark, H&M and The Sting. At this point in time, one unit of approximately 792 m2 is still available.
Shop rentals are managed by HB Kroese Paternotte and Inter Vastgoed Nederland.
In addition to the approximately 14,000 m2 of shops, the complex consists of around 250 on-site parking places, 49 apartments and approximately 2,000 m2 of premium office space.
180 of the 250 parking places are in the Primark Parking car park, which is already operational and located at the Kruisweg.
The office space should be available for use by the end of 2011. Office rentals are managed by Cushman & Wakefield. See also www.markthof-offices.nl.
