Bijou Brigitte in Hilvertshof shopping center in Hilversum
Bijou Brigitte, one of the largest and most professional European retailers of fashion accessories, opened for business on the first floor of the Hilvertshof shopping center in early March. The outlet is situated on the central square next to Hennes & Mauritz. Until now, the jewelry segment has been under-represented in Hilvertshof, so the presence of Bijou Brigitte will mean a welcome change to this situation.
Casual Club has rapidly grown into a very successful outlet. Since it cannot extend its range for reasons of space, Casual Club has decided to relocate within the center. The new shop on the Zeedijk side opened on 5 February. Here, the outlet has its own entrance to the shopping center. Besides its familiar collection of men’s leisurewear consisting of high-quality A brands, the shop now also sells trendy clothes for women and children.
The space previously occupied by Movimento (located next to the new Bijou Brigitte outlet) has now been let to Sisters XL, which concentrates on youthful ladies’ fashion for the larger sizes. The former Jip & Janneke shop on the ground floor on the Zeedijk side of the center is let to ladies’ fashion company Steeds Anders, and the former Wonder Woman shop on the ground floor is let to Bestsellers formula Only. The Hilvertshof is now also enhanced by a small independent Eastern-style jeweler named Rings & Twings.
The current owner, the metropolitan Kroonenberg Groep, has clearly given shape to the revitalization of the oldest covered shopping center in the Netherlands. This successful project has attracted many national and local retailers to the Hilvertshof, such as Jeans Center, Burger King, Nelson Schoenen and Try Me. Furthermore, Kroonenberg Groep has, in collaboration with well-known parking operator Q-Park, optimized the parking facilities, where already 58% of the shopping public in the Hilvertshof park their cars.
Kroonenberg Groep provides high quality accommodations in various types of real estate – retail premises, office space and residential properties. It does so by continually optimizing its own real estate portfolio and adapting to the needs of the market. The objective of Kroonenberg Groep is to find a balance between development, quality management and return. With its years of experience with a wide variety of projects and its knowledge of the market, it creates tailor-made quality solutions.
