Bouwfonds Vastgoedontwikkeling sells 2nd phase of Nieuwe Kolk in Amsterdam to Kroonenberg Groep
Bouwfonds Vastgoedontwikkeling is selling the second phase of the Nieuwe Kolk retail and leisure complex in Amsterdam to Kroonenberg Groep. Kroonenberg Groep purchased phase 1, a shopping center of around 5000 m² on the Nieuwendijk in the center of Amsterdam, in 2000. With this transaction, Kroonenberg Groep has become the owner of the entire complex redeveloped by Bouwfonds Vastgoedontwikkeling.
The second phase, located on Nieuwezijds Kolk in the old city center, consists of two parts. An industrial space previously known as the "Mundial”, part of the former De Kolk shopping center with a total area of around 1800 m², comprises the first part, and is let to Fitness First and a Grand Café. The second part consists of five adjacent listed buildings currently in use by various businesses in the hospitality and catering sector.
A special feature of this project is the internal plot belonging to the complex, under which there are the remains of an old city fortification, which archaeologists have provisionally attributed to the castle of the Knights of Aemstel.
As in the first phase, Bouwfonds Vastgoedontwikkeling was advised on the development concept, the lease and the sale by Haverkort O.G. of Amsterdam.
Bouwfonds Vastgoedontwikkeling focuses on the development of offices, shopping centers, special projects and (inner-city) area development in Europe. Bouwfonds Vastgoedontwikkeling is part of ABN AMRO Bouwfonds Nederlandse Gemeenten, one of the largest operators in the development, financing and management of real estate.
